OUR PERSPECTIVE
High Country Motor Lodge is a 105 room property in the heart of Flagstaff, Arizona providing a transcendent respite off the eponymous Route 66. Adean Studios revitalized the former Days Inn property into an immersive space, combining vintage elements with contemporary design. The result is a celebration of colorful and playful 1960s roadside culture in a campground inspired mountain lodge setting. A dark color palette of deep greens and blues was applied throughout the space, mimicking the forest surroundings and night sky while sheepskin and wood detailing deliver a sense of rustic comfort, bringing the spirit of the great outdoors in. Simultaneously, High Country Motor Lodge nods to the Barringer Effect, one of the largest craters in the world, and to the town's active astrologically minded night watching community through telescope inspired design details. Simultaneously catering to ski enthusiasts that frequent the property, Adean equipped the cottages with custom designed clothing racks to accommodate ski boots and hooks to compactly store skis after a day on the slopes. A Nordic spa, reskinned pool, spacious events lawn, general store and three standalone guest cottages complete the property that appeals to visitors and Flagstaff locals alike.
